Patricia Pagett was 44 years of age at the time of her disappearance. On the 1st of November 1969, Patricia went missing from Sylvania under suspicious circumstances. She was intending to attend the Sylvania Hotel and had arranged for a relative to look after her daughter. Patricia had been assisting police with an investigation at the time she went missing. Over the next few days, Patricia sent telegrams to police, stating she was in Melbourne. This was the last contact anybody had with Patricia.

John Patrick Boyle

John Patrick Boyle was 26-years-old when he disappeared on 18 October 1969 while exploring Mount Anne in Tasmania’s Southwest National park with three male associates.

At the time of his disappearance John was a member of a Tasmanian caving club, whilst exploring John became separated from his associates and disappeared in the dense and rugged environment of Mount Anne.

Despite an extensive week-long search for John, he was not located and there have been no sightings of him since.

John’s disappearance has been reported to the Coroner, however he remains a missing person.

Lucille Gaye Butterworth

Lucille Gaye Butterworth was last seen on 25 August 1969. After a day working at the local radio station, Lucille accepted a lift from a colleague to a bus stop on Main Road, Claremont.

Lucille was on her way to a Miss Tasmania Quest fundraising meeting in the town of New Norfolk, a 30-minute drive north-west of Hobart.

Kevin McCurry, aged 34, was last seen running through the Park Inn Hotel (now Centennial) in Woollahra. 

Kevin has not been seen or made contact with family or friends since.

Maureen Joyce Braddy

On the evening of Saturday 23 November 1968, Maureen Joyce Braddy, aged 16 years, and Allan George Whyte, aged 17 years, attended a dance at the YMCA Hall in Mundy Street, Bendigo. Both were expected to return to their respective homes that night but they were not seen again. Their bodies have not been found.

Maureen and Allan left the dance between 8 pm and 9 pm. When leaving they had a brief conversation with Kevin Whyte, Allan’s 20 year old brother, who invited them to a party at his flat further along Mundy Street. This was the first time Kevin Whyte had seen, or met Maureen. Allan declined the invitation saying that he was taking Maureen home. Kevin Whyte stated that both Maureen and his brother appeared normal at this time. This was the last positive sighting of Allan and Maureen.

It was Allan’s intention to escort Maureen home and there is no evidence to suggest that they separated after leaving the dance.
