Carol Goodlich was last seen around 25 September 1982 in Tweed Heads, NSW. She was possibly travelling to Sydney seeking work and may have been in the company of a woman, Christine. Carol speaks with a discernible Scottish accent. She has not made contact with any family or friends since this time, and there are grave concerns for her welfare.

John Gilchrist Howard was last seen on 26 July 1982 leaving his property at Thumb Creek, NSW in his vehicle. He did not attend work as planned, and his vehicle was later located along a track in the area with his possessions and tools still in the vehicle. John was previously known by the surname of Hellmrich. He has not made contact with family or friends since this time.

Roxlyn Bowie was 31 years of age at the time of her disappearance. On the evening of 5 June 1982, Roxlyn went missing from her home in Walgett. Her husband at the time, John Bowie, has since been convicted of her murder and was sentenced in 2023. After extensive searches, Roxlyn has never been located.

On 10 April 1983, a white Datsun 120Y station sedan was located about 400 km east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Both registration plates and the vehicle compliance plate had been removed. Subsequent enquiries revealed that the vehicle belonged to Ivica Sinozic.
In June of 1982, Ivica had left his parents’ home in Victoria seeking employment in the mining industry outside Victoria. His parents have not heard from him since that time. He appears to have travelled through New South Wales and Queensland, and arrived in Alice Springs in July 1982. To date, all enquiries have failed to locate any trace of Ivica.

In February 1982, Marshall was camped at Canteen Bore on Yambah Station with another worker (Tom Burrows), maintaining fences and bores. At about 11.00pm on 28 February, he became extremely agitated and woke Burrows and commented that someone was out to cause him physical harm. He has then dressed himself and walked off into the darkness. At this time, Burrows showed no concern as he thought that the MP was missing ‘grog’ and that he would walk back to Alice Springs. The MP had over 40 years of working experience within this local area. Statements were obtained from Burrows and the Station Overseer (John Gorey) at the time.

About 8am on Tuesday 23th of March 1982, 23-year-old Laurence Paul Lander was last seen at his home in Cooranbong. Laurence was seen to walk into the bush on the farm he lived at on Mt Faulk Road, and was later expected to return to the house but did not arrive. Laurence was intellectually disabled and suffered from a medical condition requiring daily medication and there remain concerns for his welfare.
