Eunice Goodwin

Eunice Goodwin lived at the Jiggalong Aboriginal Community near Newman. She was last seen alive around Christmas time 1983 at the Capricorn Roadhouse, Newman with a number of other Aboriginal women.

She was reported as a missing person on 13 February 1985, some 14 months after she went missing, and has not been sighted since.

Eunice had seen a community nurse at the Punmu Community at Lake Dora (inland from Newman) on 15 December 1983 and at the time was in good health.

The person or persons responsible for Miss Goodwin’s disappearance have not been identified.

Peter Baumann, 26, was last seen in the Sydney suburb of Waverly on 27 October 1983. Friends who came to look for him found his front door open and furniture upturned inside his home. There are grave concerns for his welfare.

Timothy James Martin was last seen on 10 September 1983 at a family address in Farmborough Heights, NSW. He left a note stating he was going fishing. Timothy has not been seen or heard from since.

Teodor Imrich Mastihuba was 54 years of age at the time if his disappearance. On 5 September 1983, Teodor left his Marsfield home with a briefcase, this was the last time he was seen. Teodor operated a photography business in Eastwood and did not attend work or inform his employees. In 1998 items belonging to Teodor were found at Emma Gorge, a remote destination in Western Australia.

Peter Burton, aged 33, was last seen in Beresfield on 29 May 1983. Peter has not been seen or heard from since.

Jack Brumby

Jack Brumby, born 1912 at Kalkarindji, formerly known as Wave Hill Station, was last seen at the old Chan House Nursing Home in Palmerston, Northern Territory. He is believed to have walked out of the Nursing home at approximately 11.30am on 25 May 1983.

Searches carried out after his disappearance were unable to locate him and he has not been seen since. Information at the time of his disappearance suggest he may have travelled by unknown means to Bagot Community in the Northern Suburbs of Darwin. He may have also attempted to travel to Kalkarindji or the Roper River area.

Anyone with information which may assist with the circumstances of Jack's disappearance or the identity of his family members is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
