On 19 February 1984 Andrea Wharton left her Gold Coast residence to visit friends at Byron Bay, NSW.
She contacted family by phone and forwarded a letter a couple of days later stating she was confused and was staying away for a month longer. She has failed to contact family or friends since.

Renee Aitken, age 5 years, was last seen by her mother on the evening of 16 February 1984, in bed at her family home in Narooma, NSW. When her mother went to check on Renee at 4am the next morning she was missing.
It is believed Renee was abducted from her room in the early hours of 17 February 1984, by an unknown individual.

Eunice Goodwin lived at the Jiggalong Aboriginal Community near Newman. She was last seen alive around Christmas time 1983 at the Capricorn Roadhouse, Newman with a number of other Aboriginal women.
She was reported as a missing person on 13 February 1985, some 14 months after she went missing, and has not been sighted since.
Eunice had seen a community nurse at the Punmu Community at Lake Dora (inland from Newman) on 15 December 1983 and at the time was in good health.
The person or persons responsible for Miss Goodwin’s disappearance have not been identified.

Peter Baumann, 26, was last seen in the Sydney suburb of Waverly on 27 October 1983. Friends who came to look for him found his front door open and furniture upturned inside his home. There are grave concerns for his welfare.
