Giuseppe “Joe” Iannella, then aged 46 years, lived with his wife and four children at the family dairy farm on Lake Plains Road, Milang.
The exact timing of Joe's disappearance remains unclear, but is believed to be sometime between February and August 1975. There have been no reported sightings or any contact with family and friends since this time.
In September 2006, Major Crime Detectives conducted excavations at Joe's dairy farm in Milang looking for his remains or any other item associated with his disappearance without success.
Police suspect he has been murdered.

Juanita Nielsen, 38, was last seen on the morning of 4 July 1975 at the Carousel on Roslyn St Kings Cross, where she had gone to discuss an advertisement opportunity for that business in the newspaper she operated.
Juanita has not been seen since and it is strongly suspected that she met with foul play. There is currently a reward of up to $1,000,000 for information regarding her disappearance.

Julie Garciacelay was born in Stockton, California. Julie moved to Australia in 1974 when she was 19 years old, living with her sister, Gail, in a flat in Canning St North Melbourne. Julie was employed at Southdown Press (Then the Truth Newspaper) as a library reference clerk. On July 1,1975, Gail travelled to a friend’s house in Kew, leaving Julie at home. Gail stayed at her friend’s house that night. Julie arranged to meet a man from work at her flat in North Melbourne. This person arrived at the flat with two male friends. It is believed that alcohol was consumed at the premises. At some point during the night an altercation has occurred. Julie was not seen after that time. When Gail arrived home, she found Julie’s underwear and pyjama pants on the floor in the kitchen. Her pyjama top and torn items of clothing were found in the bedroom. There was evidence of alcohol consumption in the flat. Julie’s spectacles, contact lenses, house keys and medication were all located inside the flat. When spoken to, all three men claim to have left the premises to buy pizza, and when they returned, Julie left to make a phone call. When Julie did not return after 10 minutes, all three men left. It is believed that Julie has met with foul play.

Terrence Floyd was 12-years-old when he disappeared from the Avoca area on 28 June 1975. Terry was last seen on the Pyrenees Highway between Avoca and Maryborough about 4.45pm.
That day Terrence had been playing u/15 football and was expected to return home around 5.30 pm. When he did not return his father reported him missing to the Maryborough Police Station. When he was initially reported missing, police noted that he was a defiant child who had threatened to run away on previous occasions.
The investigation was later taken over by Ballarat CIB when it was learnt that Terrence was sighted near Avoca on the Maryborough-Avoca Road and that witnesses indicated that he may have been taken away in a vehicle. Numerous persons of interest were identified and interviewed but Terrence was not located.
In 2000 the investigation was re-opened by the Homicide Squad and numerous persons of interest interviewed. This investigation culminated in the matter proceeding to inquest. No person has been charged in relation to the disappearance of Terrence.

Stephen Carvley, 23, was last heard from on 20 May 1975 and was believed to be in the Sellicks Beach area in South Australia. He was on a working holiday at the time, doing seasonal work. He has not been heard from since. Stephen has a tattoo of an eagle on his left upper arm or shoulder and a small scar in the middle of his back from a barbed wire accident as a child.

Marion was last seen leaving her residence in Hillsdale on Monday 7 April 1975. Marion was heading to school that day at Matraville High School, however she never turned up. She has not been seen or heard from since this time. There are grave fears for her safety.
