James Leo Howe was last seen on 27 March 1987 about 4.30pm when he was dropped off by a work mate at a bus stop in Ashfield so he could catch the bus home to Leichhardt. James failed to arrive home and has not been seen since.

Robert William Simmons has been missing since mid-1987.

Robert was in the Royal Australian Navy between the periods 1984 and 1986 (Cerberus). Between 1975 and 1984, Robert lived in Mordialloc, where he attended Parkdale Secondary College.

During 1987, he lived briefly in St Kilda before travelling to Sydney with a friend. 

Robert’s car was found abandoned in NSW, and his bank account has remained untouched since this time.

On 27 February 1987, Ian Braund was last seen leaving his residence at Thumb Creek, NSW. Ian has not been seen or made contact with family or friends since and there are grave concerns held for his welfare.

Barry Pennell was last seen by his wife on 10 February 1987 at his home address in Wee Waa. Barry told his wife he was heading to the local pub but he did not end up at this location. Barry has not made contact with his family and has not been seen since.

On the night of Saturday 7 February 1987 Suzanne Lawrence failed to return home after leaving a birthday party in the Healesville area.

Suzanne was 16-years-old at the time of her disappearance and not been seen since that date.

Nenita Evans

Nenita Evans

Nenita Evans (nee Partoza Padullon), also known as Anita or Annie Evans, was born in the Philippines. She resided in Yarraville with her husband.  

Nenita was reported missing by her husband on 9 January 1987. She had planned to attend a job interview at a florist in the Melbourne CBD on 9 January 1987 and was to meet her husband at the Yarraville railway station after this. Nenita did not arrive at the station as arranged.  

Investigations revealed that Nenita may have been having an affair with her supervisor at her place of employment. The supervisor, Vincenzo Leonardi was interviewed in relation to her disappearance but not charged. Leonardi is now deceased. Nenita has not been heard from since.
