On 6 June 1996, Kristopher John Rickman was a crew member onboard the fishing vessel ‘Tura’ in waters 12 to 15 miles north of Table Cape in the municipality of Smithton, Tasmania. It is believed that Kristopher, who at the time was on the Port (left) side of the vessel, lost his footing and accidentally fell overboard into rough seas.
Kristopher was not located and he remains a missing person.
At time of his disappearance, Kristopher was aged 19 years.
