Ante “Tony” Yelavich, 28, was last seen in Manly on 2 September 1985 when he left home to meet an unknown person. He has not been seen or heard form since and there are serious concerns for his welfare. Ante is known to have a tattoo of a lion & Asian writing on the inside of his right thigh.

Bradley James Anderson

On the night of Thursday, 29 August 1985, Bradley Anderson spent the night camping at Windjana Gorge, located approximately 355 km east of Broome.

The next morning, Bradley spoke to the same ranger who gave him the details of two waterholes on the way to Derby where Bradley could replenish his water bottles. One was on Kimberley Downs Station (about 10km south of the Windjana Gorge turnoff) and the other was Blina Station (about 50km further on). This was the last sighting of Bradley.

As of this date although extensive inquiries were undertaken and significant media attention was focussed, no positive sighting of Bradley has been made and none of his personal effects have been located.

The person or persons responsible for Mr Anderson’s disappearance have not been identified.

Shane Condon was last seen in late 1985 when he left his family home in Bellingen, NSW with the intention of travelling by bus and/or hitchhiking to Perth to seek employment. 

Shane had an interest in working for yacht clubs and boat building yards/sheds, however was unable to be traced in Perth except for one bank transaction in September 1985. 

Shane has not been in contact with any family of friends since this time and there is concern for his welfare.

William (Bill/Billy) Francis Steffen

William (Bill/Billy) Francis Steffen

William Francis Steffen, also known by Bill or Billy, was born in 1952 and living in Adelaide when he was discharged from an Adelaide Hospital on 4 June 1985.

William is believed to have travelled to Tasmania shortly after his release from hospital.

On 13 June 1985 he telephoned his mother in Queensland informing her that he was in Tasmania, however, was sounding dazed and confused at the time. 

Enquiries reveal that he was last sighted attending a medical appointment in Elizabeth Street, North Hobart, Tasmania on 17 June 1985. 

It was thought he may have returned to Queensland, where his family were living, however, enquiries to date have been unable to confirm this and there has been no sign of William since this time.

Christopher Dale Flannery, 36, was last seen in Sydney on 9 May 1985. He has not been seen or heard from since. There is reason to believe that he may have come to harm.

John Lang, 25, was last seen exiting a vehicle on Putty Road, Colo in the early hours of 4 May, 1985. He has not been seen or heard from since and there are concerns held for his safety.
